Sons of Pitches – A group of singing enthusiastic students attended a workshop and performed with the Sons of Pitches A Capella group at De Montfort Hall, Leicester.

Music careers conference – Students in Year 10 who are studying Music spent the morning at The Curve Theatre, Leicester, exploring careers in the music industry.

Dance workshop – Year 8 students work with Anthony Missen, the co-artistic director of Company Chameleon, in a dance workshop.

Attenborough Arts Centre trip – Year 9 students attend an exhibition at Attenborough Arts Centre, Leicester, by Mel Brimfield, dealing with issues of mental health.

Space to Read – Year 9 students organise and run the Space to Read event at The National Space Centre, Leicester.

The Curve Theatre trip – Year 9 Drama students attend a performance of The Unreturning at The Curve Theatre, Leicester.

Cadbury World trip – Year 9 students spend the day at Cadbury World as part of the Bronze Arts Award.

Talent25 Launch – Year 8 students attend the Talent25 launch at De Montfort University.

Science and Technology Challenge – New College Leicester win second place in national STEM competition.

Christmas Concert 2018 – New College Leicester hold a Christmas concert.

Lestercast trip – Year 11 Product Design students spend the day at Lestercast casting centre on an industrial visit.

Royal Albert Hall performance – New College Leicester students perform, along with other schools, at The Royal Albert Hall.

Collection at Attenborough Arts Centre – Year 9 Textile and Art students see a collection of work by Yinka Shonibare at the Attenborough Arts Centre.

Arts and Culture Day – Year 8 students take part in an exciting day of creative learning.

Virtual Orchestra – Year 9 students experience a virtual orchestra.

Extra-curricular activities – Information on all the Expressive Arts extra-curricular activities for the autumn term 2.

Rockingham Go Kart Final – New College Leicester take part in the International Kit Car Final at Rockingham Motor Speedway.

Jess Green Poetry Workshop – Performing Arts students from Years 9 and 10 participate in a performance poetry workshop with Jess Green.

Rockingham Go Kart Competition – New College Leicester’s go kart races in the regional finals of the International Kit Car competition at Rockingham Motor Speedway.

Attenborough Arts Centre trip – Students from Year 9 Art and Textiles GCSE courses visit the Attenborough Arts Centre.

Primary schools Performing Arts workshop – Nearby primary schools join forces with New College Leicester to perform during performing arts workshops.

De Montfort Hall trip – Students from Year 9 who are studying BTEC Music went on a backstage tour of De Montfort Hall.

Christmas Concert – New College Leicester hold their Christmas concert.

Shoebox Appeal – Year 8 students collected, wrapped and packaged shoeboxes of items for Blythswood Care’s shoebox charity appeal.

Remembrance Assembly – Students develop a piece of physical theatre for Remembrance Day.

Christmas Showcase Auditions – Year 10 students are hosting a Christmas Showcase and the link shows all the audition information.

Performing Arts Showcase – Students showcase their performing arts talents.

Hairspray Theatre Trip – Students go to Birmingham Hippodrome to watch Hairspray the musical.
