After Key Stage 4 students can then continue to study both subject areas in the 6th form. In hairdressing students can take the practical qualifications at Level 2 and Level 3 to work in a professional salon as a stylist.

Health and social care students can specialise in Caring for Children. The college has recently introduced GCSE Sociology into the Post 16 programme.

In both subject areas, along with their main study in college, students will carry out work experience.

The Hairdressing faculty has a team that are passionate about their subject and industry. They continually work with local companies to enhance and develop their already broad skills and knowledge, by doing this they are confident that they are sharing current skills and trends with their students.

The faculty has a desire to create an interest in the Hair and Beauty industry and give young people the drive to succeed in a vocational subject which will lead to a variety of employment opportunities.

Our salons are equipped to develop the student’s dexterity and creativity by looking at a wide range of styles throughout the Era’s of time and developing ways to recreate these looks.
