Active Together help organisations and individuals support more people to be active and move more.

Summary of Partnership

Active Together work collaboratively with New College Leicester and other local schools and organisations who share the ambition to reduce inequalities in physical activity experienced through access and/or awareness.

Projects

Over the last 18 months, Active Together have worked in partnership with the New Parks Hub and LCFC in the Community, through an Active Together Development Officer and Community Activator. The aim has been to engage with members of the New Parks community and other key local organisations to identify barriers to and provide opportunities for residents to access physical activity and sport locally. The community identified the greatest need around children and young people, both in terms of activity provision and future training and development for volunteer and employment opportunities.

Partnership Comment

Active Together would like to continue working with New College Leicester, to ensure that local children and young people can access a variety of free or low cost sport & physical activity provision.
